I've gathered these public programs to help you find a starting point for groceries or meals. The right option depends on your address, whether you can pick up food, and whether you need prepared meals. Each organization decides eligibility and availability.
If you are unsure where to begin, call 2-1-1 or 877-541-7905. Explain your location and whether you need groceries, prepared meals or help getting food home.
Check the selected program's service area and current schedule before traveling. A nearby pantry may serve only certain ZIP codes, and community distribution dates can change.
Ask what information is needed, whether an appointment is required, and whether someone may collect food for you. Share application details directly with the organization.

Do I have to be a student to use Dallas College food help?
No. Community members may use designated Community Pantry and Drive-Thru Pantry events. Students have access during regular pantry hours. Check the event and campus before visiting.
What if I cannot drive to a pantry?
Homebound Dallas County residents aged 60 or older can ask the Dallas Area Agency on Aging about meal delivery. Ask other pantries directly about pickup alternatives; delivery is not automatic.
Can I use any pantry with my ZIP code?
Some pantries have service boundaries. Jan Pruitt publishes a specific ZIP list. Confirm that the program serves your address before you travel.
